Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) is a major public utility organization in Pakistan’s power sector, serving over 5.4 million customers across eight districts in Punjab including Faisalabad, Chiniot, Sargodha, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, Mianwali, and Bhakkar. With a commitment to excellence, FESCO is seeking to strengthen its governance and internal control systems by hiring a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Chief Internal Auditor.

Position: Chief Internal Auditor
Location: Faisalabad
Eligibility:
FESCO invites applications from dynamic, qualified, and result-oriented individuals (both male and female) with a solid background in auditing, financial controls, and the energy sector.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the internal audit function in compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Report independently to the Audit & Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
- Objectively evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of financial, accounting, and operational systems.
- Review internal controls and recommend improvements for process optimization.
- Develop and oversee internal audit plans and programs.
- Draft comprehensive audit reports including findings and actionable recommendations.
- Build and supervise a high-performing internal audit team.
- Undertake special assignments as directed by the Board.
- Collaborate with external and government auditors.
- Ensure effective implementation of board decisions and company policies.
This is a critical leadership role aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and integrity within FESCO’s operational framework.

Required Skills:

- Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, legal compliance, and audit frameworks
- In-depth expertise in internal control systems and enterprise-wide risk management, particularly within large organizations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively report findings and influence decision-making
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be a member of a recognized professional accounting body such as CA, CPA, ACMA, ACCA, or hold an MBA in Finance from an HEC-recognized local or international university
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in relevant audit and financial management roles
- At least 4 years in a senior management capacity, preferably with experience in public/private sector audit, internal controls, or enterprise risk management
- Prior exposure to governance structures and risk control practices in state-owned enterprises or public sector organizations is highly desirable
Remuneration & Contract Terms:
- A market-competitive lump-sum salary package will be offered, based on qualifications and experience
- Appointment will be on a contract basis for an initial term of 3 years, including a 6-month probationary period
- The contract may be extended based on performance
