About the Role – What You’ll Be Doing

This role is based in a high care setting, where you will support clients with complex disabilities and behavioural challenges. Each day, you will deliver compassionate, person-centred care aimed at helping individuals reach their personal goals.

Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with personal care, such as bowel stimulation and catheter flushing
  • Monitoring blood pressure and other vital signs
  • Performing manual handling using hoists and slings (experience required)
  • Supporting individuals with behavioural complexities
  • Preparing meals and administering medications
  • Documenting detailed and clear case notes

In addition, your ability to build strong rapport quickly and provide emotional support will be essential in this role. You’ll be the person who celebrates small wins and helps clients take meaningful steps toward greater independence.

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed in this position, you should be someone who embraces challenges and finds fulfillment in helping others improve their lives. Our ideal candidates are:

  • Experienced in supporting clients with high and complex needs
  • Familiar with behavioural support plans
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Confident with documentation and reporting
  • Passionate about encouraging client growth and celebrating progress

You’ll also need to meet the following requirements:

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificates
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate
  • Australian working rights
  • Relevant qualifications are highly regarded, though on-the-job training is available
