Key Responsibilities

As a Night Shift Personal Care Assistant, your duties will include:

• Assisting residents with daily living tasks, promoting independence and dignity.
• Monitoring and documenting care, including updating assessment charts and noting exceptions in care plans.
• Delivering meals and refreshments to residents throughout the shift.
• Supporting menu requirements and dietary needs for each individual.
• Handling delegated tasks from the Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN), including ward support duties.

Your role is critical in maintaining a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment overnight, ensuring that all residents receive attentive, high-quality care.

Essential Requirements

To qualify for the Night Shift Personal Care Assistant position, you’ll need:

• A Certificate III in Aged Care or a relevant qualification.
• A valid National Police Certificate (or the ability to obtain one).
• Minimum 12 months of aged care experience, ideally in a residential setting.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Willingness to work consistent night shifts (11 PM – 7 AM).
• Clearance through Aged Care Worker Screening.
